Day Six In Kenya

Today we visited a special school for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties. It was a privilege to meet the staff and students and we are looking forward to supporting them in the future.
Each day we spend in Kenya reinforces our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn in a way that helps them succeed.
The school was seriously lacking in special equipment and essential supplies and we hope that in the future we will be able to help them.
The afternoon found us back at Braeburn International School and we created a human Flipflash Learning Board using large Flipflash cards with the year 10 children learning History. The students became the board themselves, building each row together as we explores the Treaty of Versailles.
The students were confidently answering questions with excellent recall demonstrating just how powerful active participation, repetition and structured analogue learning can be.
