Jonathan took airport navigation to a whole new level on his trip to Kenya. Being visually impaired didn't stop him. It just meant every terminal became a surprise adventure. Security pointed left, the announcements echoed from somewhere else entirely, and by Gate 24 he was on a first-name basis with half the airport staff.
Just when he thought he was making good progress, security pulled him aside because the scanner detected what looked like an alarming amount of metal in his suitcase. After a brief moment of wondering whether he'd accidentally packed a small spaceship, it turned out to be an excessive collection of magnets which were the Flipflash boards. That took some explaining, Crisis averted, Jonathan continued on his way and arrived late Friday evening.
Even the giraffes gave Flipflash a miss. they said the cards were great, but they couldn't handle all the looking down.
Tomorrow, the real adventure begins.
